The Abundance of the Heart Foundation, develops in Colombia the Comprehensive Program on Violence Prevention ” Ruta A-B-C “, in the UN’s global framework “for a violence-free life”.
We work on prevention, care, protection, prosecution, monitoring, reporting and follow-up of verbal and psychological violence cases through our online reporting portal and through the national pedagogical and educational projects portal CIVIF online, serving these types of problems, as provided in Decree 4798 of 2011.
It’s time to ring the alarms! Here and now, because verbal and psychological abuse is more common than we think, and its consequences are more chronic and deadly than we imagine.
Screaming, swearing, and insults are acts of verbal and psychological violence.
Verbal and psychological violence is a crime.
Any type of violence is punishable and condemnable, for it is part of the chain of violence.
Sexual and physical abuse is the result of previous verbal and psychological abuse, in most cases.
All kinds of abuse must be reported. “No excuses”.
Words have power to raise or destroy.
Everyone has the right to be treated well, privately and socially.
In a healthy heart, healthy words.
If you have not thought it through well, do not say it.
Towards hurt words, cure their wounds, express yourself with love.
A generous heart always thinks positively and looks at the good things.
If you already said it, and you hurt someone, asking forgiveness is the next step.
Asking for forgiveness makes you better.
For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
